...WHO NEVER SAID A WORD
In the school of predictions, In the class of the absurd,
Sat the little girl in the corner who never said a word.
Always being laughed at, She never ever stirred,
The little girl in the corner who never said a word.
Looking out the window, at a little bird,
The little girl in the corner who never said a word.
Teacher said she’d fail her, but she never heard,
The little girl in the corner who never said a word.
Calling out her name in front of all the pupils there,
Calling out but knowing she was talking to thin air.
Child sat there waiting, for something to have occurred,
The little girl in the corner who never said a word.
Sitting very quiet, knowing she was assured,
The little girl in the corner who never said a word.
Listening to her thoughts and more, her teacher came in third,
The little girl in the corner who never said a word.
Thinking of back memories, and things that have recurred,
The little girl in the corner who never said a word.
Teacher said to see her after class is over please,
Little girl heard but turned away and looked back at the trees.
School bell soon it rang, out they ran, a herd.
But the little girl in the corner who never said a word.
They saw the world fall down, the world was now absurd,
The little girl in the corner who never said a word.
Alone now in the classroom, looking at a love-bird,
Sat the little girl in the corner who never said a word.
